The "Race Track"...

A mere 27 mile 2 hour (very rough nasty road) drive from the main road is this "Playa" (dry lake bed). There are some rocks on the playa, that move around the lake bed leaving these "tracks".  The curious thing, no one has ever witnessed it so they aren't really sure how it happens.  My guess would be when the lake bed gets wet, it gets very slick and the wind moves the rocks around. After all, the bed is comprised of silt, very very fine dirt particles...
